ACTIVE SHOOTER...on our hall!!

8.6.21 to 8.8.21 a weekend to remember

1st the Backstory...

We were supposed to be in Aruba for a family vacation but God blocked that one (long story). Instead, we all decided to visit the DMV and do some tourist stuff. Upon arrival at the EMBASSY SUITES only a few blocks from the Capitol in the Crystal City (i.e. a "nice" area), I felt uneasy.

Friday morning, I woke up early & the Lord instructed me to walk the hall. On the 4th floor, I walked the circular hallway multiple times and as I did, the Lord said to pray:

"Everywhere you are My Spirit is also."

Subsequently, I remembered Psalms 91:4 (amplified version) and pronounced over the hallway:

The Lord (Faithfulness) is a SHIELD and a WALL.

12:30 a.m. after some time with the Lord, I layed down feeling at peace and went to sleep.

1:15 a.m. I woke up to my heart racing, it felt like something was about to burst. I thought I was dreaming, leaped out of my bed and ran to my parents' room and said: HELP ME!

My dad calmly asked ~ with what? I didn't have an answer. They got up with me for a moment to pray & they returned to bed. I kept trying to rationalize what made my heart pound so fast while sleeping. I started to take a walk in the hall again to pray but decided against it since I was in pajamas (Jesus looking out again). I was talking to God but a moment when...

Six to seven gunshots went off in our hallway!!!!

I ran so fast, the shooter was only on the 2nd consecutive shot by the time I made it to my parents' room and told everyone to get down! This turned into hours -- police swarmed the building, garage, every floor, and entrance of the hotel. We could hear the police directly outside of our door telling the shooter not to touch his gun & to come towards them. Wrapping this story, although the man did escape the building, he was caught, and no one was harmed. Thank God!!!

What the Lord spoke to me...

That night before bed, I wrote very clearly in my journal what I was hearing from the Lord. In short, He was saying you have to trust Me to protect you fully. I was thinking He was referring to the million things going on in the world, not the shooting that would occur in a 4.5 star hotel a few minutes later. God continued that accepting His full protection of me is an instance of receiving His full love. He had been illustrating the point that we have to get back to childlike Faith. When "Daddy" says something, it is good as gold and done.

PAUSE: Knowing that God is omnipresent is not limited to a place but even time. He not only sees your tomorrow but He is advocating for you in that place and time. What occurred a few minutes after that journal entry was the furthest thought from my mind. But God was already there...advocating for me (& so many others -- some were receiving residual protection but nonetheless still covered).

The Father told me that He had already went ahead of so many that day that checked into the hotel. Certain things are not going to happen with the presence of Believers. Why? Where "we" are there His Spirit will be also.

This blessed me because if I'm honest, I've received instructions from the Lord that did not make sense to me. However, in understanding God, we have to know He has a different vantage point that He is giving instructions from -- He is in our future places & times. & by Believers carrying His Spirit, we therefore have the Holy Ghost advantage. Our spirits see, feel, and hear things before it happens. Which gives us the advantage to warn, prepare, or protect ourselves by heeding the Lord's instructions.

THE WALL

God said that as I walked the floor that morning and spoke His word, HE created a wall!!! With this barrier in the Spirit, nothing by any means would penetrate it, including 6 or 7 bullets. You might be thinking but the picture clearly shows a hole in the wall. The wall that God created was around the people present, His Spirit had gone before them and surrounded them. Despite all the shots going off in different directions, NO ONE WAS SHOT -- because of God's WALL!

Listen!!!! We know 1 Corinthians 2:14 says that the natural minded man cannot understand the things of the Spirit and it is foolish to him. If you do not understand, that God protected everyone in that building and our hall specifically that night, then you know what side of this scripture you are likely on.

Sometimes heeding the Lord's instructions may be as simple as taking a prayer walk and remaining still in His word despite bullets flying feet away from you.

What does this sound like?

Our daily lives spiritually, we are literally in a fight against an unseen enemy, there are wars, and fights happening all around us politically, spiritually, economically, and so forth. But despite it all, God said He is a shield and a wall. Obey His instructions and rest in His word.

When those bullets were flying around and police attempting to capture the shooter, my family could do nothing except lay on the ground & pray for a positive outcome. My mom eventually went to sleep & I thought, how can she sleep with all of this commotion happening feet away from our door?

She told us there was nothing she could do, so, she was going to rest. Simple statement but powerful.

God wants us to do the same. I see so much unrest & anxiousness. But just like the Lord instructed me to pray and He responded by protecting us and going ahead, He is doing the same with every other circumstance in our lives.

What I learned:

1. God will be a shield and a wall.

2. Where I am, the Spirit of the Lord is also. & He is keeping me.

3. God's word cannot and will not return void, make use of it.

4. Allowing God to fully protect is a sign that I am resting in and receiving His love fully.

5. The Holy Ghost is an advantage!!! & the Believer's presence is prophetic. This would have been a totally different outcome had we not checked into that Embassy Suites and obeyed the voice of the Lord.

Closing

The night before leaving, I wrote the verse "Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm." Satan is a hater so I figured he was up to something since the Lord highlighted this verse to me. This blog was personal because I literally saw the hand of God, barricade & bury the enemy's assassination attempt. Assassination? Yes!

Before leaving for what I thought would be Aruba, I saw (in the Spirit*) snipers on the top of different roofs on the street. They had huge black wings and they were waiting to shoot black men. I then heard ~ assault with a deadly weapon and God said to cover men in prayer. A couple of days later, was the shooting in the hotel.

This month has been filled with God shows it, within two days, it manifests and we're only half way through the month. I have to give honor where it is due and publicly shout out my Savior Jesus Christ coming through yet again. Thank You -- thank You Father for being consistent. Thank You for being the Word.

I'm talking to YOU!

With that said, I'm now speaking to you. It is an understatement that A LOT is happening. The current plagues in the land -- pandemic, racism, politics, school system, health industry, vaccinated vs. the unvaccinated, deaths at an all time high.

The Lord showed me a glimpse of the NEWS and I saw one word written above it: BABBLE.

He furthered that they are confused, the same news this week, is the news from two weeks ago. Leaders cannot figure out how to get rid of the plague and return to "normal." People are turning against friends and family for political, health, and other debates. The world is literally in a state of confusion.

The Lord is my refuge...

That was the Lord's sole response to all of the pressing matters. Biblically, every plague in the land was sent by God. How did people survive plagues? God kept them and they listened to HIS instructions. The world does not know what you should be doing. I'm not anti-news. However, I understand that what you constantly feed your mind becomes your mediation, what you meditate on will eventually manifest before you.

*It is wise counsel to feed on the Word of the Lord as it will bring peace.

*Seek the Lord specifically for what He is instructing YOU to do in this season when a plague is present in the land. Referring back to the BIBLE, when plagues and epidemics were in the land, God's instructions were often subjective. Get silent before Him and seek the Lord for your house.

*Get childlike -- whatever God says, let that be a seal. Do not try to rationalize it with others or even you. REST in Daddy said it; so, it is good and done.

*In this hour, practice peace. Yes, peace is a practice. & it is simple if you remain consistent. Turn up the volume of God by turning down the volume on everything and everyone else. More word, worship, prayer, and praise. Less leisure, opinions, feelings and so forth. Increase your God hour.

*COVER and Take Cover. Cover the weak, poor, orphaned, widowed, children, and Body of Christ (especially intercessors and leaders who the enemy wants to distract in any way possible). Cover in prayer. Pray that God will be their shield and wall where nothing and no one can penetrate. Finally, take cover. God's ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts, they are HIGHer. You have to come up high!!! Come up and stay up. The Lord will place you so high, that nothing by any means will ever hurt you.

Contrary to the contrary, God is good. On the throne. Advocating for you. & He desires to keep and protect you from harm. So, allow Him to do so fully today.
