This month's blog is on behalf of Sanaa Amenhotep, 15 year old girl that has been MISSING since April 5, 2021 from her home in Columbia, S.C. Unfortunately, there has not been the media coverage that's needed to spread this word. The process of finding Sanaa has enlightened her family & friends on human sex trafficking and the need to advocate vocally for your own. There are thousands of girls missing in this state and 79,000 black and brown girls missing in the U.S. Sanaa is a part of my mentorship group and we attend the same ministry; therefore, it is a totally different reality when it is someone you know.
In all sincerity, we do not know where Sanaa is, it could be potentially any state. Therefore, we're contacting you to help us find Sanaa and bring her home.
How you can help:
Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 6:00 am to - 11:59 p.m. we're asking leaders, businesses, ministries, schools, and all people everywhere to do the following:
1) For this day, change your social media profile picture to the attached flier using the hashtags #bringourdaughterhome #findsanaa
2) For this day, post the video (when posted) to your social media, website, all personal pages, email, or text conversations using the hashtags #bringourdaughterhome #findsanaa
3) For this day, use your voice and platform be it your job, businesses, affiliations, ministries, connections especially with radio, TV, or social media to help us find Sanaa.
As her family, we can do some by ourselves but even more with your help. We're believing God that this Sanaa awareness day will not be a movement solely to bring her home but the 79,000 other missing children in the United States.
Please join us Tuesday, April 20th from 6:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. with the three points above; so, we can bring our daughter home. #bringourdaughterhome #findsanaa
***NOTE: I complete my ministry and business calendar typically by December of the prior year, this was the case for 2021 (it was completed in December 2020). For today, I had written to send my monthly email to subscribers and to do street ministry or "hit the streets" with red shirts. As this date approached, I kept asking God what exactly did He mean by this or where did He want me to go. Fast forwarding as I watched Sanaa's mother interview tonight pleading with listeners to turn social media "red" tomorrow in her good faith attempt to find her daughter, it hit me.
First, God was FULLY aware that this day would come. I think sometimes we forget that He knows all things.
Second, the church has to stand up. Prayer is necessary and a part of our great faith. However, true intercessors know that after you pray generally revelation, strategy, and oftentimes action follows suit. It's time to "pray and pull-up." WE (the Body of Christ) have to set many things in order. Supporting a family in their time of need is one of those steps.
I end with how I began this note, God literally knew exactly what I would be doing this day. He knew that I would be typing this blog, asking you all to help us advocate for the safe return of Sanaa. This is ministry and a modern way of hitting the streets. I felt the peace of His presence when typing this, it is our belief and pronouncement that the Lord is and will divinely intervene for Sanaa & many others. He lives in and set things up in our future places. Find rest tonight in God is fighting for not only Sanaa but you too! When we go red tomorrow, I really believe it will be a movement and continuum of advocacy for God causes state to state. Join us!
Exodus 14:14 [NIV]
The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.
